Moment of Truth: Egg Freshness Test
This project focused on creating a short video demonstrating how to test egg freshness using the float method. Through a mix of stop motion, pacing, and subtle humor, the goal was to guide the viewer through the process while making something simple (and sometimes uncertain) feel more approachable and even a little enjoyable.
Problem:
The challenge was presenting a straightforward process in a way that feels both clear and engaging, while still holding attention from beginning to end.
Even something simple can lose people if it feels flat or overly instructional, so the goal was to create an experience that feels easy to follow without losing interest along the way.
Strategy:
The focus was on using pacing, composition, and small moments of humor to guide the viewer naturally through each step. The sequence builds gradually, using a sense of setup, tension, and release to create a rhythm that feels engaging without becoming distracting.
Each moment was designed to lead into the next, allowing the viewer to stay oriented while still feeling a sense of anticipation.
Design:
The final video uses stop motion and structured sequencing to clearly demonstrate the egg freshness test. Key moments include the setup, the suspenseful “Moment of Truth,” and the final reveal.
Framing and pacing were used intentionally to support both clarity and engagement, helping the viewer stay focused while still enjoying the process.
Outcome:
The result is a short, engaging video that clearly communicates how to test egg freshness while making the experience feel approachable, memorable, and easy to understand. It turns simple task into something that feels a little more interactive and a little more human.

Building suspense as the test in introduced and the outcome is still unknown.

Stop motion sequence introducing the cooking setup and pacing of the scene.

The moment of truth where tension builds before revealing the result.
